Placing an order

This section is for customers. If you run a restaurant, the operator guides are the rest of this site.

The app is branded by the restaurant you are ordering from, so the colours and the name will be theirs — but everything below works the same way.

Type What happens
Delivery Your order is brought to the address you choose
Pickup You collect it yourself when it is ready
Dine-in You order from your table, usually by scanning a QR code on it
Order ahead You choose a time later today or on another day

Not every restaurant offers all four. You will only be shown the ones available where you are.

  1. Choose where you are ordering from. For delivery you set your address first, because it decides which outlets can reach you.
  2. Add dishes. Some have options and extras — sizes, sides, preferences — that appear when you tap the dish.
  3. Check the basket. Delivery fees, taxes and any service charges are shown before you pay, never after.
  4. Add a code or a reward if you have one. See Rewards, coupons & memberships.
  5. Pay. See Paying & your wallet.

Choose a time instead of “as soon as possible” and the restaurant will start preparing it so it is ready then — not when you ordered it. Order-ahead slots are limited by how far in advance the restaurant accepts orders.

Scan the code on your table and your order is linked to it, so staff know where to bring it without you explaining. You can usually keep adding to the same table through the meal.

Whether you can change or cancel depends on how far along the order is, and each restaurant sets its own rules. As a general shape: before the kitchen has started, cancelling is usually possible; once it is being prepared, it usually is not.

Ask the restaurant directly — their contact details are on the order — and see Refunds & problems for what happens to your money.

Question Answer
Why can’t I see a restaurant I ordered from before? It may be closed, paused, or outside the delivery range of the address you have set
Why is an dish greyed out? It has sold out for now. It stays visible so you can see it exists
Why did the delivery fee change? Fees can depend on distance and on the outlet you order from
Can I order from two outlets at once? Sometimes — some apps support it, most do not
My minimum order isn’t met Add dishes, or switch to pickup where a minimum often does not apply
Can I add a note for the kitchen? Usually yes, on the dish or at checkout, if the restaurant allows it
