Paying & your wallet

What you are offered depends on the restaurant, but the usual set is:

Method Notes
Card Saved for next time if you choose
Apple Pay / Google Pay Where your device supports it
Wallet Your stored balance with that restaurant
Cash On delivery or at the counter, where offered
Card on delivery The driver brings a card machine
Card at the counter You pay when you collect

A restaurant may require prepayment for delivery while allowing cash for pickup, and some ask new customers to prepay for their first orders.

Your wallet is a balance held with that one restaurant — it is not shared between different apps. It is useful because it makes checkout a single tap, and because refunds paid into it arrive instantly rather than in several days.

Money reaches your wallet in three ways: you top it up, a refund is paid into it, or the restaurant credits it — cashback, a goodwill gesture, a reward.

Auto top-up, where offered, tops the wallet up automatically when it drops below an amount you set. You choose the top-up amount and the trigger, and there is a daily limit so it cannot run away. You can switch it off at any time in your account.

Where tipping is offered you will see it before you pay, either as suggested percentages or an amount you type. On a card machine at a counter or kiosk, the machine itself may ask.

Tipping is always optional and never pre-selected without being visible.

A pending charge is normal: your bank holds the amount while the payment completes. It settles within a few days.

If you see a pending charge for an order that failed, it will usually disappear on its own — banks release holds automatically. If it has not gone within about a week, contact your bank; the restaurant cannot release a hold your bank is holding.

Question Answer

Can I pay with two methods? At a counter or kiosk, often yes. In the app, one method per order
Can I move my wallet balance to another restaurant? No — a wallet belongs to one restaurant
Can I get my wallet balance back as cash? That is the restaurant’s decision; ask them
Why can’t I pay with cash? The restaurant has not enabled it, or not for this order type
Charged but no order appeared Check your order history first, then contact the restaurant — see Refunds & problems
